I've landed in Ho Chi Minh City/Saigon

I have arrived in Ho Chi Minh City/Saigon. We were met at the airport by our national and local guides.

Today is mostly recovery from a very long couple of days of travel, but I have had a couple of observations.
1. I watched The Help on the flight from LA to Hong Kong in the midst of the smiling staff on Cathay Pacific serving two meals, one snack, and lots of water to a plane full of tired (and sometimes) cranky people.

2. We are staying in a luxury hotel. There is a huge gap between the hotel and the world outside. The hotel is quiet, serene, and all the work is behind the scenes. In contrast, the city is noisy and hustle and bustle. I went swimming today in the hotel swimming pool. When I was drying off I looked back at my wet footprints from the pool and had a glimpse of my carbon footprint.
